Andrew White was taken to the doctor at an early age. His parents were deeply concerned.
After a battery of tests, the diagnosis was in and the family met at the doctor’s office. Andrew, at the young age of 7, was creative. He enjoyed a wide array of education in Pittsburgh as a youth. Before high school he had experienced drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, printing, pottery, weaving, jewelry, batik, metal foundry, metal fabrication, wood shop, mechanical drawing, and creative writing. He moved to Maryland for high school. He began experimenting with texture, became a member of The Arts League and participated in a group show of mixed media pieces at the Torpedo Factory in Virginia. His latest works are oils on canvas, mixed media, and installation. Andrew pulls inspiration from his past, as well as present experiences. His work captures distinct moments in time, some flashing by, others frozen motionless, and some traveling through it. As it passes, this singular moment is caught, and revealed to us, as if to force a memory of it. Andrew White currently lives and creates in Orlando, Florida. He works on feature films as a designer or art director and owns lot1433, a design and art collective.
